Splendid Hotel Group is a
private partnership and was formed in 1986 with the purchase
of its first budget hotel in Bayswater, London. With the success
of this hotel, the group had greater ambitions to expand and
penetrate into the branded portfolio, therefore, they were
the first franchisee in the UK to launch Express by Holiday
Inn in Victoria. This was great stepping stone to then expand
rapidly to encompass 12 hotels; most of these are working
with a branded portfolio.
Further expansion plans are under way with the Group’s
biggest projects to date; the build of a 254 bedroom InterContinental
and 280 bedroom Hilton, both in London. Also, the addition
to the Express by Holiday Inn brand by building a brand new
90 bedroom hotel in St Albans.
The above demonstrates the exciting and innovate plans that
lie ahead for Splendid which all add to their ambitious plans
of being one of the leading and largest Franchisee in the
hotel sector within the UK.
