Originally from Kenya, Shiraz arrived in the UK in 1969 where he started his initial training as an accountant in a firm of Chartered Accountants. This quickly followed by Shiraz starting his own practice in 1978 where he practiced for over 10 years.

An innovative and forward-thinking businessman, Shiraz was quick to spot opportunities in other areas and was a founding member of two major companies and set-up a partnership in Sussex Health Care and Splendid Hotel Group in 1985 and 1986 respectively. Shiraz was instrumental in raising funding and overseeing key asset deals that has resulted in successful expansion for each of these companies.

In 2007, two further companies were formed, Sojourn Hotels LLP and SB Hotel Group, with the acquisition of seven hotels in total.

Shiraz directs the strategy, management and development of all his business interests on a day-to-day basis, with the support of his highly experienced Executive & Management team.

Shiraz also plays a vital role by giving his time and providing resource for many Charitable Organisations and Voluntary Services..
